Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist / Barber to join our dynamic shop team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in haircutting, razor shaves and grooming techniques, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. Experience with shop software such as SQUARE and retail sales is a plus. The successful candidate will be committed to maintaining high standards of sanitation and professionalism while staying current with industry trends.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional hair cutting, styling, and grooming services for clients, including barbering and shaving.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work station in accordance with PA health standards.
- Use shop software like SQUARE for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking.
- Assist clients with product recommendations and retail sales through upselling techniques.
- Manage front desk duties including greeting clients, booking appointments, and handling client inquiries.
- Promote a positive shop environment through excellent communication skills and personalized customer service.
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license required.
- Proven experience in hair styling, barbering, and related services such as waxing and hair replacement application.
- Skills in retail sales, upselling, retail math, and store management are advantageous.
- Proficiency in sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with clients and team members.
