Hours of operation:
Mon/Wed/Fri 530am-9pm
Tues 6am-9pm
Thurs 7am-9pm
Sat & Sun 8am-4pm
Position: Veterinary assistant
Opening: Part time/Full time (24 hours, 40 hours)
Requirements:
· Over the age of 18
· Highschool Diploma or GED
· Experience preferred
· Be able to lift minimum 30lbs safely
Responsibilites include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning of cages and runs
- Laundry
- Walking hospitalized or surgical patients
- Observing patients for changes in status or concerning behavior
- Learning patient care post operatively- feeding restrictions or activity restrictions
- Disinfecting various areas through the hospital
- Demonstrate proper restraint techniques to keep both the patient and other staff safe
- Communicate effectively with team mates, doctors and clients
- Under basic vaccine protocols, draw up vaccines
- Sterlizing surgical packs
- Assist in taking radiographs
- And much more
