Salary: $18.60 hourly
>> Cooks earn an additional $0.50/hour shift differential when working 2nd shift.
Work Schedule:
- 11:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
- 5 days per week, rotating weekends and holidays
Cook / Prep Cook Duties:
This position is responsible for prepping and cooking a variety of foods in a large volume from provided menus for residents of the Kansas Veterans Home. Requirements:
- One (1) year of experience in commercial or institutional cooking/management.
- Must pass a criminal background screening and be free from conviction of a criminal offense that would prevent you from employment with KVH.

- Six (6) months of experience cooking in a residential or hospital setting
- A positive work history in the food service field
- A genuine commitment to resident-centered care.
