Position Overview: The Facilities Director provides complete facilities oversite with an owner’s mentality and excellence, but most importantly a servant heart and attitude. We remind ourselves daily that “we get to do this”. This position also requires integration with serve teams to help others utilize their gifts to fulfill purpose and make a difference.
Position Responsibilities:
Building Maintenance for LifeChange Properties
- Perform weekly “facilities walk” inspecting for wear and repair needs.
- Monitor “facilities maintenance requests” for repair needs.
- Execute routine maintenance of HVAC units (filter changes, check drains, etc)
- Fire systems - sprinklers, fire extinguishers, fire alarm.
- Comply with new building codes within a timely manner and inform staff of
- changes.
- Monitor and maintain water and septic systems to Health Department guidelines.
- Generate and implement improvement projects (painting, carpeting, etc.)
- Maintain and manage the relationship with any outside vendors.
- Recruit specialized volunteers for specific projects: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.
Grounds Maintenance
- Document and file physical changes of church facilities and grounds.
- Maintain and repair outdoor fixtures and grounds equipment.
- Maintain grounds and lawn care, including regular pest control.
- Generate and implement improvement projects (plantings, trimming, weeding, etc).
- Develop spring and fall serve opportunities for members to make a difference.
- Oversee volunteer follow-up and appreciation.
