Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Daycare Teacher to join our team. As a Daycare Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children in our daycare facility. Your role will involve implementing age-appropriate activities, promoting social and emotional development, and ensuring the well-being of each child in your care. Director or any Certifications are a PLUS!
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans and activities that promote early childhood education and development
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns or updates
- Monitor and supervise children during indoor and outdoor playtime to ensure their safety
- Assist with mealtime routines, including feeding and promoting healthy eating habits
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and ensure all necessary health and safety protocols are followed
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Be a team player
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children in a daycare or early childhood education setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices
- Strong classroom management skills to effectively guide and engage children in learning activities
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors using positive behavior management techniques
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required
- Food handlers certification required
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
We offer competitive pay rates based on experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
