Job Summary
Landau Laboratories, an industry leading Cannabis Testing laboratory in the Coachella Valley, California seeks a full time Analytical Chemist in Cathedral City.
The Analytical Chemist will execute sample analysis, review the results and will perform the data entry in the LIMS system in an ISO 17025:2017 certified laboratory, and will be responsible for all work performed in support of their assigned assay.
A successful candidate should have at least two years of experience with LC-MS/MS instrumentation, troubleshooting techniques, and a strong commitment to organization and reliability. However, qualified new graduates with relevant education, laboratory training, and a willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
Samples analysis using Laboratory SOPs, review of the results obtained, and data entry in the LIMS and Metrc systems. Maintain appropriate quality control (QC) processes and compliant procedures required by the DCC and the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard to guarantee accuracy and reliability of the results.
Candidate should obtain traceable and reliable results with limited supervision from Lab Director and/or Chief Science Officer (CSO)/or Lab Supervisor. The candidate should be prepared to discuss any abnormal / fail results and unsuccessful analytical batch runs (failing QC, etc) with Lab Director and CSO and Lab Supervisor. Participation and successful completion of semi-annual proficiency testing is required.
The successful candidate should follow laboratory SOPs and should have excellent skills in scientific journal logging for reporting, computer software, and data management reporting.
Periodic maintenance of analytical instruments and lab equipment is required. Candidate will be involved in the revision of existing procedures and should help drafting new procedures under the supervision of the Laboratory Director.

Qualifications and skills
Bachelor or Master Degrees in Chemistry
Two-year experience more is a good advance
Deep understanding of LC-MS/MS
Advanced PC user, excellent in MS office especially in Excel calculations
