JOB OVERVIEW
Full-time Architectural Designer II to participate on various projects through all phases of design and construction. An employee in this role should be a creative, self-motivated design professional who is able to utilize current technologies to achieve design excellence. This position reports to the Senior Architect, Team Lead.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Collaborate as part of a team and work on a wide range of projects through all phases of design and construction

Responsible for specific technical design aspects (drawings, documents and specifications) of an assigned project, including investigation, evaluation and recommendation of design solutions for project teams

Participate and contribute to the planning, design, and coordination of projects by applying advanced architectural concepts

Carry out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures

Complete project assignments by researching, compiling and recording information

Use project checklists and HHA established standards during all project phases

Assist the project team in timely completion of all project deadlines

Coordinate and collaborate with project consultant teams

Attend project meetings and site visits; write meeting minutes and reports detailing observations

Participate in building assessments and field verification activities

Assist in the creation of project renderings and graphic representations

Be a resource to Emerging Professionals and Architectural Designer I’s

Work closely with project leadership and staff to achieve a high level of project success

Help to maintain project information within HHA established technologies (i.e., Deltek Vantagepoint) and update schedules weekly

Apply a rigorous concept-based design process to justify decision making

Anticipated billable performance: 90%
SKILLS
-
Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization and graphic software; REVIT strongly preferred

Strong knowledge of: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Bluebeam Revu, BIM360

Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, specifications and building codes

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor or Master of Architecture, Bachelor of Science in Architecture, or related undergraduate degree
-
6+ years of experience
