This energetic role involves physically assisting with the loading, unloading, and transportation of furniture, boxes, and other household or commercial items. Drive and operate a 26 foot box truck, You’ll work in a fast paced environment that values teamwork, safety, and excellent customer service. Duties
- Safely load and unload items from trucks, including box trucks and commercial vehicles, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage
- Assist customers with moving furniture and belongings, providing friendly and professional customer service throughout the process
- Use manual lifting techniques to handle items of various sizes while adhering to safety protocols
- Load and unload trucks according to route schedules, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups
- Maintain organization of storage areas and moving supplies for quick access during jobs
- Follow all safety guidelines related to heavy lifting, driving, and equipment operation to ensure a secure work environment
Requirements
- Prior experience in moving, warehouse work, or delivery driving preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Needing to be able to drive 26ft Box trucks.
- Perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles is a plus
- Familiarity with commercial driving practices and route driving procedures
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude when interacting with clients
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
