First Choice Packaging is seeking a Machine Operator (Packer 2) to join our thermoforming production team. The responsibilities of this position include:
Able to operate thermoforming machines and support equipment.
Perform and demonstrate the ability to use a grease gun, and the use of emergency stops
- Able to organize a line at the beginning of the shift.
- Verify correct material per the Engineering Master
- Verify correct carton per Engineering Master
- Print and verify carton labels and pallet tags
- Responsible for hourly part inspections and recording results
- Able to load plastic film rolls into roll unwind and into thermoforming machine.
- Able to communicate and train packers the following:
- Engineering Master work instructions
- Visual part inspection criteria
- Correct carton pack-out and quantities
- Correct pallet configuration
- Responsible to immediately report any quality issue to the shift PQI, Shift Supervisor, or Process Technician.
- Responsible for the end of the shift housekeeping.. Promote a safe work environment at all times.
