Facility Description:
Wonderful opportunity to join the clinical staff of California Medical Surgery Center. We are a growing ambulatory surgery center. The facility is located right off of the 101 in San Luis Obispo, CA. We have two operating rooms and 5 pre-op/PACU bays. Patient care is our top priority and we strive to provide outstanding patient care in a safe and comfortable environment.
We specialize in the following areas of practice:
- Ophthalmology
- Oculoplastic
- Facial Plastics
Responsibilities:
- Assess, instruct & prepare patients prior to surgery
- Provide direct patient care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their condition post-surgery
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth transition from the operating room to the PACU
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a sterile processing environment
Experience:
- Experience working in an ambulatory surgery center is preferred
- Strong knowledge of PACU procedures and protocols
- Ability to assess and respond to changes in patients' conditions quickly and effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6.0 – 24.0 per week
Experience:
- Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- RN License (Required)
