Job Description
Engineers on the AI Maestro platform team build shared services, APIs, and infrastructure that other teams use to build customer-facing products. Because the platform layer is a critical dependency, a defect or design flaw here propagates into every product built on top of it. This is why the team holds itself to a high quality bar — and why that bar starts with the people it hires.
The most senior individual-contributor engineering role, responsible for org-wide architecture, standards, and technical vision. Principal Software Engineers solve ambiguous business problems through technology and set the engineering bar for the entire organization.
Build and own org-wide architecture spanning multiple teams and platform components
Solve ambiguous business problems by applying technology strategically
Establish testing and evaluation standards organization-wide, including standards for AI-assisted code
Define architecture standards and scaling strategy across multiple teams
Set org-wide security policy and secure engineering practices
Drive org-wide collaboration and code review culture
Establish incident response processes and operational standards across the organization
Establish org-wide patterns for GenAI system design, evaluation, and safety
Influence without direct authority, building trust and technical credibility across the organization
Balance long-term technical vision with organizational business need

10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of org-wide technical leadership
Demonstrated experience defining architecture standards and technical strategy across multiple teams
Experience establishing engineering-wide standards for security, testing, and operational excellence
