Activities Assistant – Come Make Someone's Day!
Do you love making people smile? Are you creative, energetic, and enjoy working with seniors? We're looking for someone who can help bring fun, laughter, and meaningful experiences to our residents every day!
What You'll Do:
- Assist with planning and leading activities under the direction of the Activities Director
- Encourage resident participation and social interaction
- Lead games, crafts, exercise classes, and special events
- Help with cooking activities and resident parties
- Run simple technology such as iPads, Apple TV, and Wii games
- Lead or assist with music and choir activities
- Drive our 15-passenger bus for outings and adventures (CDL not required)
- Bring positive energy, creativity, and enthusiasm to every shift
What We're Looking For:
- A genuine love and respect for older adults
- A cheerful, outgoing personality
- Ability to think on your feet and keep activities fun and engaging
- Comfortable leading groups and interacting with residents
- Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented
- Must be able to spend extended periods standing, walking, and actively participating in activities
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must possess a current Food Handler Permit or be willing to obtain one upon hire
Schedule Notes:
Part-time hours will follow a set schedule. Occasional evening, weekend, or special event hours may be required, and plenty of notice will be provided.
