Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control (QC) Inspector to join our Tomball team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting precision plastic parts to ensure they meet stringent quality standards and customer specifications. This role is critical to maintaining our reputation for excellence and supporting our continuous improvement efforts.
Duties:
- Perform dimensional inspections using hand measuring instruments as well as optical comparators, Optical CMMs, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
- Identify and report non-conformances, assist in root cause analysis, and support corrective actions
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process
- Continuous improvement: Support both product and process improvement to achieve MDS performance objectives.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in quality inspection or metrology preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a QC Inspector role within a precision manufacturing environment
- Understanding of production workflows and quality documentation.
- Proficient in MS office.
- Knowledge of an ERP system is beneficial.
- Must have a high attention to detail.
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Requires the ability to read and interpret technical product related information such as detailed engineering drawings (inc. GD&T), material and/ or product specifications, inspection reports, etc.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
- Good or corrected vision to enable visual inspection of product both with and without magnification.
- Stand for extended periods of time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Experience:
- inspection with hand tools: 2 years (Preferred)
- reading engineering prints: 2 years (Preferred)
- applying GD&T when inspecting parts: 2 years (Preferred)
- using automated inspection equipment (CMM & Keyence): 2 years (Preferred)
- inspecting plastics parts: 2 years (Preferred)
