Part-Time Remote ABA Billing Specialist
Location: Remote (Must have experience billing Illinois providers)
Schedule: Part-Time (5 to 15 hours per week, flexible)
Pay: $25–$32 per hour (based on experience)
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented ABA Billing Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is highly knowledgeable in ABA billing and can independently manage the billing process while ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of ABA billing experience.
- Proficiency using the Aloha ABA billing platform.
- Extensive knowledge of Illinois Medicaid billing requirements.
- Experience billing Illinois Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), including claim submission, payment posting, denial management, and appeals.
- Strong understanding of ABA CPT codes, authorizations, modifiers, and documentation requirements.
- Experience with accounts receivable follow-up and resolving denied or rejected claims.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Submit and manage ABA claims through the Aloha platform.
- Verify insurance eligibility and authorizations.
- Bill Illinois Medicaid and Medicaid MCO plans accurately and timely.
- Post payments and reconcile accounts.
- Investigate and resolve denied or rejected claims.
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Communicate with payers regarding claim status and reimbursement issues.
- Maintain compliance with Medicaid and payer billing guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with multiple Illinois Medicaid MCOs.
- Knowledge of ABA revenue cycle management.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
