Job Summary
Join one of the midwest's largest appliance repair companies as an Appliance Repair Technician and become a vital part of delivering exceptional service to our customers. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of household appliances, ensuring they operate efficiently and reliably. Your mechanical expertise, electrical knowledge, and customer service skills will drive customer satisfaction and help us maintain our reputation for quality and dependability.
Duties
- Diagnose appliance issues by interpreting schematics, technical manuals, and mechanical diagrams
- Perform repairs on appliances including refrigerators, ovens, washers, dryers, dishwashers, microwaves, ice makers, and other similar appliances
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble appliances
- Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical schematics to identify faults accurately
- Conduct routine maintenance and preventative inspections to extend appliance lifespan
- Assist with equipment assembly and installation at customer locations when needed
- Communicate clearly with customers about repair processes, timelines, and maintenance tips
- Drive a box truck or similar vehicle safely to various field service locations for on-site repairs
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for each job performed
Experience
- At least 2 years of experience as an appliance repair technician
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- Ability to read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately
- Customer service experience demonstrating professionalism and effective communication skills
- Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting electrical issues in appliances or equipment is essential
- Familiarity with seal systems / refrigeration is a big plus
Other requirements: Must be able to pass a drug test, background check, insurance company's driving history record search.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
