Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

The Ute Mountain Ute Health Center is seeking a Board-Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide outpatient psychiatric services for children and adolescents. This is a flexible part-time opportunity serving Native American communities in southwest Colorado.
Position Highlights

- No call responsibilities
- No weekends or federal holidays

Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat mental health disorders in children and adolescents
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with behavioral health and medical providers
- Complete EHR documentation within 48 hours
- Provide consultation and education to clinical staff
- Deliver culturally sensitive care to Native American patients and families
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Current unrestricted U.S. medical license
- Board Certification in Psychiatry
- Child and adolescent psychiatric experience preferred
- Minimum three years of psychiatric practice experience
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with Native American populations preferred
Schedule
- 1 to 2 clinic days per month
- Approximately 12 to 24 days annually
- Clinic hours generally 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
