Job Overview
We are Citrus Heights and we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including skilled nursing facilities, acute care, and outpatient environments. This role is crucial in helping patients improve their daily living skills and achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Pay: $30-38
Schedule: Monday - Friday **FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE**
Responsibilities
- Assist patients in performing therapeutic exercises and activities designed to improve their physical and cognitive abilities.
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients and their families about therapeutic techniques, safety measures, and home exercise programs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, progress notes, and treatment outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients during therapy sessions.
Experience
- Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is essential for effective patient care.
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or acute care setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with geriatrics and occupational health practices will be beneficial.
- Previous experience in both inpatient and outpatient therapy settings is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills for assisting patients with varying needs and backgrounds.
