Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily operations of the childcare center, ensuring smooth classroom functioning and adherence to policies.
- Support teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum plans focused on childhood development and early learning milestones.
- Supervise child supervision activities, ensuring safety and engagement during playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities.
- Coordinate with staff to maintain classroom management standards, behavior guidance, and individualized care plans for children with special needs or disabilities.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones; foster positive relationships built on trust and transparency.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including pediatric first aid and CPR protocols.
- Assist in training new staff members on childcare best practices, classroom management techniques, and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar early childhood settings.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development instruction, behavior management strategies, and classroom experience.
- Certified in first aid, CPR (including pediatric first aid), and familiar with mandated reporting laws.
- Background in special education or experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom environments effectively while ensuring child safety at all times.
- Prior experience in nannying or babysitting young children is a plus; familiarity with toddler care and infant care preferred.
