Purpose: To support and assist the Quality Manager in daily responsibilities including creation of quality standards for new products; leading a cross functional validation team; investigating customer & supplier quality issues; leading corrective & preventative action teams; oversee quarantined and non-conforming materials disposition; and completion of all documentation for FAI’s and PPAPs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations and best practices
- Developing and maintaining quality standards for new and existing products
- Lead a cross functional team for the validation of processes for new and changing processes
- Completion of Control Plan, PFMEA and Process Flow diagrams
- Analysis quality trends and develop continuous improvement initiatives to correct the trends
- Completion of First Article Inspections
- Assist with performing inspections of parts throughout various processes as needed
- Responsible for investigating corrective action requests from customer regarding part/product rejection
- Responsible for leading internal teams in corrective action implementation and verification
- Participate in the material review board for quarantined materials and dispositions of non-conforming product
- Utilize applicable computer systems to adjust/move inventories to adjust for scrap/non-conforming materials
- Verify/investigate submitted continuous improvement ideas and provide feedback/verification of each
- Responsible for investigating supplier quality issues with incoming materials, including follow-up with purchasing/customer to receive proper credits
- Assistance to the quality team in maintaining JBC’s quality management system

- Participate in team projects and meetings as assigned.
- Support JBC offsite facilities as needed

Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field
- Work experience in manufacturing Aerospace or Medical Products preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications required
- Detailed oriented and strong written and verbal communications skills required
- Must be able to read blueprints and be proficient in the usage of Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gages, etc.
- ASQ Certification a plus but not required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Work Environment/Dynamics:
- Manufacturing/Office environment.
- Employee must be able to adapt to frequent changes in procedures and methods as company grows.
Physical Demands:
- Light to moderate physical effort required on a constant basis
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
- Required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility for an entire shift
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Eye protection, hearing protection, safety shoes, and face masks are available and required in certain areas
Work Schedule:
- Normal schedule – 40 hours/week; Monday through Friday (8-hour shifts)
Work Environment:
- Work performed in a plant/production environment
- Contains any number of elements including but not limited to fiberglass/insulation material, dust, fumes, and noise.
- Must be able to work as part of a team or independently with limited supervision
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
