Overview (this is a W-2 position)

Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and physiological evaluations.
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics, behavioral health, and emergency medicine.
- Perform procedures including suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, and dermal fillers when appropriate.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate medical documentation and medical records management.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, nurses, and other healthcare providers to develop coordinated care plans.
- Provide health coaching and patient education on disease prevention, medication adherence, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications.
Skills
- Extensive experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Athenahealth or Cerner for documentation and clinical workflows.
- Skilled in performing diagnostic evaluations using laboratory experience, sonography, medical imaging, and specimen processing.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology for medication administration including injections and drug interactions under DEA regulations.
- Experience working within collaborative practice agreements to optimize patient care delivery across outpatient clinics or inpatient units.
