Responsibilities
- Assist with menu planning and meal preparation to ensure timely and quality service
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, demonstrating strong knife skills and culinary techniques
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen
- Support dietary department needs by preparing specialized meals according to dietary restrictions and guidelines
- Serve food efficiently and courteously to guests, maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Contribute to catering events by assisting with food setup, presentation, and breakdown
- Maintain inventory levels, monitor freshness of ingredients, and assist with food storage management
Qualifications
- Previous dietary department experience or dietary aide experience preferred
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety regulations
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques
- Experience working in fine dining or the food industry is highly desirable
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
