Bilingual Medical Assistant (Spanish/English) — Part-Time, Surgical Practice

Schedule: 8 hours per week, in person, during weekday clinic hours
About Us
Live Wellness Surgical, PLLC is a growing surgical outpatient practice led by a board-certified acute care surgeon, with clinic locations in Carrollton and Dallas (White Rock). We are a small, patient-focused team, and this role offers the opportunity to work directly with the physician and be involved in every part of the patient experience — from check-in through surgical scheduling.
About the Role
We are looking for a bilingual (Spanish/English) Medical Assistant to support our clinic days. This is a hands-on role that blends clinical and administrative work with a focus on surgical case coordination.
What You’ll Do
- Check in patients and manage patient flow
- Take and record vital signs
- Assist the physician with visit notes and documentation in the EMR
- Prepare and send paperwork for surgical cases
- Work directly with the surgical schedule and coordinate with facilities and patients
- Answer patient calls and questions about upcoming surgeries
What We’re Looking For
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic setting (required)
- Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
- Completion of an accredited MA program and/or current MA certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) (required)
- EMR experience (Tebra experience a plus)
- Professional, organized, and comfortable working independently in a small practice
Additional Details
- This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, and this role is not eligible for employee benefits.
- In-person only; local candidates in the Dallas–Fort Worth area preferred.
