Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to support the development and well-being of children in our care environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children of various ages, including infants and toddlers, and possess a strong understanding of childhood development. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging atmosphere where children can learn, play, and grow. The Childcare Provider will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and fostering positive behavior management strategies.
Duties
- Supervise and care for children in a safe and nurturing environment, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs
- Plan and facilitate educational activities that promote early childhood development and learning
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices
- Implement behavior management techniques to encourage positive social interactions and emotional growth
- Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure child safety and report any concerns or incidents appropriately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare area to meet health and safety standards
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress, concerns, or updates regarding their child's development
- Adhere to all licensing regulations and childcare policies related to early childhood education, daycare operations, and youth programs
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom environments
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; experience with infant care and toddler care is highly preferred
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and abuse prevention
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs as part of inclusive caregiving
- Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
- Demonstrated ability in behavior management techniques suitable for young children
- Prior experience in teaching or youth programs teaching experience is advantageous
- A caring attitude with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with children of diverse backgrounds
