JPosition Summary
The Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the center’s curriculum is implemented consistently, correctly, and on schedule in every classroom. This position works directly with teachers to strengthen lesson delivery, classroom engagement, learning-center setup, documentation, and overall educational quality.
The Curriculum Coordinator is expected to spend significant time inside classrooms observing, coaching, modeling, and supporting teachers, rather than performing primarily administrative duties.
Key ResponsibilitiesCurriculum Implementation
- Ensure weekly lesson plans and curriculum materials are prepared and implemented according to the required schedule.
- Conduct daily classroom walkthroughs to verify curriculum implementation.
- Ensure teachers understand the purpose and learning objectives of each activity.
- Monitor age-appropriate implementation from Infant through Pre-K.
- Ensure enrichment activities are incorporated appropriately.
- Maintain organized curriculum materials and classroom resources.
Teacher Coaching & Training
- Train new teachers on curriculum expectations before independent implementation.
- Provide hands-on coaching and modeling when teachers need additional support.
- Observe teachers and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Identify teachers who require additional curriculum or classroom-management training.
- Conduct refresher training when curriculum expectations are not being met.
- Support teachers with classroom engagement, transitions, learning centers, and instructional techniques.
Classroom Quality
- Ensure classrooms are inviting, organized, educational, and developmentally appropriate.
- Monitor learning centers, displays, student work, and classroom materials.
- Ensure children are actively engaged rather than relying on excessive free play or screen time.
- Support teachers in maintaining strong classroom management and active supervision.
- Help ensure the educational experience presented during parent tours is consistently delivered after enrollment.
Curriculum Accountability
- Complete regular curriculum observations and classroom audits.
- Document areas requiring improvement and follow up to confirm corrections.
- Track teacher curriculum performance and training needs.
- Communicate recurring concerns to the Center Director/Owner.
- Maintain curriculum-related documentation needed for quality reviews, licensing, or internal audits.
Parent & Enrollment Support
- Understand the center’s educational philosophy well enough to explain the curriculum confidently to families.
- Assist leadership with curriculum-related questions during tours or parent meetings when needed.
- Help address curriculum concerns raised by families.
- Partner with the enrollment and leadership teams to ensure what is promised during tours matches the child’s actual classroom experience.
Daily Expectations
- Visit and observe classrooms throughout the day.
- Review curriculum implementation and teacher engagement.
- Provide immediate coaching when improvement is needed.
- Verify required activities and learning centers are being completed.
- Follow up on previous coaching or corrective actions.
- Communicate significant curriculum concerns to leadership.
Qualifications
- Experience in early childhood education, preschool, or childcare preferred.
- Strong knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Experience implementing or coordinating early childhood curriculum preferred.
- Strong teacher-coaching and communication skills.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback professionally.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining accountability.
- Must meet all applicable Texas childcare licensing requirements.

Primary Goal: Ensure every classroom consistently delivers a high-quality educational experience through strong curriculum implementation, teacher coaching, classroom observation, and accountability.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
