Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales records
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism, including drink service, wine knowledge, and cocktail presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation when necessary and support kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy hours
Requirements
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting; fine dining experience is a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations and sales transactions
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and handling cash transactions
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor that fosters guest loyalty
