Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable, caring, and energetic Part-Time Childcare Opener to prepare our childcare center for the day and provide a safe, welcoming environment for children and families during morning drop-off. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and is available during early morning hours.
Responsibilities:
- Open the childcare center and complete daily opening procedures.
- Greet children and families warmly during morning arrival.
- Supervise children in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
- Set up classrooms and prepare learning materials and activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom.
- Assist with breakfast or morning snacks, if applicable.
- Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff.
- Support teachers and other staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Previous childcare experience preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and actively engage with children.
Schedule:
- Part-time
- Early morning hours (example: 6:30 a.m. – 12:30 pm )
- Monday through Friday (or as scheduled)
