Job Summary
We are seeking a 3rd Shift detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of the warehouse, ensuring accurate inventory counts, and maintaining efficient shipping and receiving operations. This role requires mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand and power tools, as well as experience in a warehouse or factory environment.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage, and verify contents against packing lists.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by assembling products, packaging items securely, and labeling appropriately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move products within the facility.
- Collaborate with assembly line teams to ensure timely delivery of materials needed for production.
- Perform regular inventory audits to ensure stock levels are maintained.
- Assist in organizing the warehouse layout for optimal efficiency.
- Follow safety protocols while handling tools and equipment to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role within a warehouse or manufacturing facility is preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors.
