JOB Brunswick County is currently accepting applications for a
Data Analyst to join our Emergency Management (EM) team and support Fire Services. The Data Analyst is responsible for performing data analysis to identify agency operational efficiencies and areas for performance improvement and translating complex data into actionable insights that will help drive strategic decision-making. This role collaborates with various departments and other stakeholders to identify key metrics, examine trends, and develop comprehensive reports and dashboards.
The Data Analyst works under the general direction of the EM Fire Services Administrator and will work closely in collaboration with the Business Analyst Supervisor, who is based in the Information Technology department. Some key responsibilities include:

Analyzing emergency response data, including response times, incident volumes, staffing, apparatus utilization, and geographic trends.

Examining and manipulating large datasets to identify trends, develop charts, and create visual presentations.

Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques, and providing ongoing reports and dashboards.
