McGrath Property Group is seeking an experienced Full-Time Maintenance Specialist to join our growing team and help assist with the maintenance and operations of our downtown Madison and Fitchburg market rate apartment communities. We are looking for someone that has at least 3 years general maintenance experience, good time management skills, can navigate online software and is a self-motivated individual.
As a Maintenance Specialist you will be working alongside our maintenance team to support larger scale maintenance and repair projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in drywall repair and painting, as well as general maintenance and facility work.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the maintenance team with repair, renovation, and improvement projects
- Ensure high-quality customer service and professionalism from maintenance staff
- Perform drywall repairs and painting
- Maintain detailed maintenance records, including work orders and inspections
- Assist with preventive maintenance schedules for mechanical systems
- Assist with unit turnovers, including painting, cleaning, flooring, and repairs
- Participate in the on-call rotation schedule

Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands on maintenance experience
- Drywall and painting experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
- Availability to join on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong problem solving and time management skills
- Experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry and appliance repairs

Pay: Starting at $30/hr - based on experience
