Job Summary:
The Warehouse Associate assists in the daily operations of the warehouse to ensure functionality, organization, and a clean and safe working environment. The warehouse associate will assist in inventory management, deliveries and fleet maintenance, and organizing products while ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload deliveries, inspect products for damage, and communicate with warehouse manager on products delivered.
- Assists with organizing and storing products in their designated locations.
- Deliver tools, supplies, and equipment to various jobsites, as needed.
- Safely operate warehouse machinery and tools including but not limited to forklifts, ladders, and pallet jacks.
- Keep the work area clean and organized by sweeping, mopping, and clearing shelves and trash to maintain safety and efficiency.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate has prior warehouse or shipping and receiving experience and enjoys staying organized and solving problems. They are comfortable working in a team environment and communicating clearly with coworkers and delivery personnel.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift certification or similar
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy
Work Conditions & Requirements:
- Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and moving equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach overhead throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull amounts up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle tools, materials, packaging, and inventory.
- Frequent walking throughout the warehouse and standing for long periods.
- Regularly works around forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment.
- May occasionally work outdoors while loading or unloading materials in various weather conditions.
