Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care in a vibrant, fast-paced environment. As an integral part of our clinic, you will support general and specialized dentistry procedures, ensuring smooth clinical operations and a positive patient experience. Your role will involve working closely with dentists, patients, and team members to promote oral health and comfort.
Duties
- Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures including restorative, prosthodontic, endodontic, and pediatric treatments, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental materials, and maintaining aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety in accordance with HIPAA regulations and safety protocols.
- Manage patient records using Open Dental; document medical and dental histories accurately while maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
- Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging as needed, supporting the overall health screening process for patients.
- Support administrative tasks including dental receptionist duties—scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and managing medical documentation and records.
- Assist with the use of advanced technology such as 3D scanners for prosthodontics or other imaging tools to facilitate precise diagnoses and treatment planning.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to ensure accurate communication and documentation across all clinical activities.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with current licensure in good standing.
- Proven experience in general dentistry with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred; previous dental clinic experience is highly valued.
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and medical records management.
- Skilled in chairside assisting across various specialties including prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Knowledge of infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and sterilization protocols essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment.
- Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards; experience with medical imaging tools is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly using dental and medical terminology; compassionate approach when working with pediatric patients.

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
