Kiddie Academy of St. Peters is seeking a caring, dependable, and experienced Infant and Toddler Teacher to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and understands the importance of creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for our youngest learners.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, loving, and responsive care to infants and toddlers
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities using Kiddie Academy’s Life Essentials® curriculum
- Maintain consistent feeding, diapering, sleeping, and daily care routines
- Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom
- Follow all licensing, health, sanitation, and safety requirements
- Communicate professionally and positively with families
- Complete daily reports and document children’s activities and development
- Work collaboratively with co-teachers, administrators, and other staff members
- Supervise children closely and maintain required classroom ratios
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and Kiddie Academy training
Qualifications
- At least two years of experience working with infants or toddlers in a licensed childcare center
- Knowledge of infant and toddler development, routines, and classroom management
- Patient, dependable, energetic, and nurturing personality
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift and carry children and remain active throughout the workday
- Must successfully complete all required background checks
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- CDA or college coursework in Early Childhood Education is preferred
