American Fence is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced, detail-driven Estimator to join our team in Oklahoma City. If you enjoy turning plans into precise numbers, working with great people, and playing a key role in successful projects, this is the opportunity for you!
Job Summary
As an Estimator, you’ll analyze project plans and specifications, prepare accurate cost estimates, and collaborate with clients, contractors, and suppliers. You’ll be a critical part of our project success from bid to build.
What You’ll Do
- Review plans, specifications, and drawings to understand project requirements
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
- Work directly with clients to understand needs and offer cost-effective solutions
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors
- Use construction estimating software to build competitive bids
- Track and monitor project costs to ensure budgets stay on target
- Coordinate with project managers and field teams
- Prepare detailed proposals and bid packages
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating practices
- Experience using construction estimating software
- Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Great communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
