Garrett's Family Market is part of the Volta Oil and Rapid Refill family. Garrett’s Family Market is a local family chain of convenience stores and gas stations that offers a safe and secure environment for their employees and customers alike.
Garrett's is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager with exceptional leadership qualities who will assist the store manager with the day-to-day operations of the site including coaching and training of staff and delivering exceptional customer service. Previous experience in fast food restaurant, retail or convenience operations is desired.
The Assistant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and personnel management in the manager’s absence which includes the efficient, profitable, and safe operation of the facility and employs, supervises, and trains facility personnel.
What will you do?
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
- Provide prompt and courteous customer service according to the operating standards of the company.
- Merchandise facility according to the operating standards of the company.
- Assist Store Manager with interviews.
- Train all facility employees in store operations, product knowledge, sales techniques, personnel appearance and safety guidelines
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales and customer service
- Strong inventory management and control skills
- Proficiency in operating POS systems and cash registers
- Effective team management and supervisory experience
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities

The pay range for this position is outlined above. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on things like location, experience, and qualifications. Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range.
