Summary:
Under the general supervision of the School Principal and Administration, to serve as an instructor for students who have been placed in In-School Supervision with the purpose to improve students' achievement in reading, writing and mathematics, complete assigned work by regular classroom instructors, and implement district approved Social-Emotional Learning re-entry programming.

Job Responsibilities:

Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievement and attendance as required by district procedures and applicable laws.

Collects, distributes, and manages appropriate instructional and student work materials daily.

Coordinates with other professional staff members (including administration, deans, teachers, counselors, social workers, and paraprofessionals) regarding student academic progress, attendance, participation, and behavior.- Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents.

Communicates effectively with staff, students, and families.

Develops and administers assessment techniques and methods to ascertain the particular needs of individual students - including interventions, remediation, and restorative practices.

Develops instructional strategies, lesson plans, and classroom management techniques to help motivate students to stay on-task.

Monitors, documents, and communicates student progress/activities/outcomes using technology resources.

Assists deans, campus monitors, and student services staff on developing and maintaining MTSS, PBIS, and other intervention-based, remediation, and restorative practices.

Performs other duties as assigned by building administration - including substitute teaching, campus monitoring, and supporting building admin and student services.
Equipment
Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy and fax machine, and telephone..
Travel Requirements
Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
