- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair LED display issues using advanced micro soldering techniques.
- Test equipment to verify proper operation and performance before it returns to service.
- Complete mechanical, electrical, electronic, and cosmetic repairs as needed.
- Work from service tags, maintenance records, schematics, manuals, and maintenance software to identify issues and determine repair requirements.
- Research service histories to identify recurring failures and help track repair costs and trends.
- Document maintenance activity, repair status, and labor time accurately.
- Collaborate with LED display manufacturers to discuss equipment issues, emerging trends, and updated maintenance techniques.
- Determine replacement component needs and outside repair requirements when necessary.
- Prepare purchase requests and warranty claims related to repair activity.
- Work with technicians and customers to diagnose equipment issues in the field.
- Provide guidance on setup adjustments, alignments, and operational improvements.
- Travel to customer and event sites when service calls or equipment repairs are required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with LED displays, electronic repair, or similar technical equipment environments.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve component-level and surface-mounted electronic issues.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, or related computer software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills when working with technicians, manufacturers, and customers.
- Adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning as technology evolves.
- Work on technology that supports live events and audience experiences.
- Solve complex technical challenges using specialized repair and diagnostic skills.
