American Traveler is hiring a Medical ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active NY RN license and Epic EMR experience.

16-bed Medical ICU treating sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, pre-VAD workups, alcohol withdrawal, overdose, multi-organ failure, post cardiac arrest/targeted temperature management, respiratory failure/shock, and more
-
Utilizes CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, and Impella technologies

Patient ratio of 1:2 with occasional 1:1 based on acuity

Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 1900-0700
-
Every other weekend required
-
Floating required
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Active NY RN license required in hand
-
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
-
Epic charting experience required
-
Teaching hospital experience preferred
-
Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response
-
Experience with arterial line and central line management
-
Experience with continuous IV sedation, vasoactive drips, and neuromuscular blockade
-
Experience caring for ventilated patients, including BiPAP/CPAP and ABG interpretation
-
Experience with CVVHD/CRRT and renal failure management
-
Experience with CVP monitoring and hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun preferred
-
Experience with nurse-driven ECMO protocols and Swan Ganz monitoring preferred
-
Provide comprehensive critical care to medically complex ICU patients requiring advanced monitoring and life support interventions

Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Call-off policy allows for 3 shifts per 13-week assignment
