Part-Time Orthodontic Assistant

Altera Orthodontics is a modern, fully digital orthodontic practice seeking a friendly, dependable, and experienced part-time Orthodontic Assistant.
This position is ideal for an orthodontic assistant who enjoys creating a positive experience for patients and families and is looking for a consistent part-time schedule with a supportive team.
Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures
- Assist with braces, clear aligners, appliances, bonding, debonding, and retainers
- Take digital X-rays, photographs, and iTero scans when trained and authorized
- Complete clinical charting and documentation
- Prepare and maintain clean, organized treatment areas
- Follow sterilization and infection-control protocols
- Communicate professionally with patients, parents, the doctor, and team members
Qualifications
- At least one year of orthodontic or dental chairside assisting experience is required
- Direct orthodontic experience is strongly preferred
- Dependable, professional, organized, and patient-focused
- Able to follow established clinical protocols and work effectively with a team
- CPR and Pennsylvania X-ray certification are preferred
Compensation
Pay is $20.00–$35.00 per hour based on orthodontic experience, certifications, clinical skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently. Candidates with advanced orthodontic experience may qualify toward the higher end of the range.
