Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. This role is vital in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with industry-leading construction management software. As a Construction Superintendent, you will coordinate teams, manage schedules, monitor budgets, and uphold safety protocols to drive project success and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations on construction sites, supervising subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel to ensure smooth workflow.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management tools to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to verify work aligns with design specifications.
- Oversee quality control measures, ensuring all work meets industry standards and contractual requirements.
- Manage project budgets by tracking costs, reviewing contracts, and implementing cost-saving strategies without compromising quality.
- Enforce OSHA safety regulations and conduct regular safety audits to maintain a secure work environment.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Bluebeam for documentation, reporting, and communication across teams.
- Coordinate procurement activities, review contracts, and manage change orders to mitigate risks and ensure project continuity.
- Supervise on-site activities related to pipeline installation or heavy civil projects as applicable.
- Conduct regular site inspections using tools like an ohmmeter or other testing equipment to verify system integrity.
Skills
- Extensive experience in construction site management with a proven track record of supervising large-scale projects.
- Proficiency with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and other relevant tools.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Excellent management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively while fostering collaboration.
- Deep understanding of OSHA safety standards and best practices for maintaining a safe work environment.
- Skilled in project scheduling techniques with Primavera P6 or similar programs for efficient resource allocation.
- Familiarity with construction site safety equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical testing or other diagnostic tools.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. Pay: $100,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
