Job Type: Part-Time, Class 3, Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: Flexible hours, under 29 hours per week
Position Summary:
The Job Coach will execute training for an individual with a disability or mental health diagnosis to help them learn to perform job tasks to the employer’s expectations. The Job Coach will also assist the individual in learning interpersonal skills necessary to be a successful member of the workforce.

Develop customized and effective job coaching and employment plans

Communicate with clients to understand their goals and ambitions

Attend client team meetings as scheduled

Counsel clients on fine-tuning work habits/skills in preparation for integrated competitive employment

Assess the strengths of individuals and teach them to use them effectively in the job site

Guide clients in learning to complete job tasks to meet employer expectations

Advise and advocate for workplace accommodations for people with disabilities

Monitor and evaluate progress of clients

Keep records and documentation and prepare appropriate reports. Write Progress Notes, Weekly Job Coaching Reports, Task Analysis.

Submit required documentation in a timely manner

Communicate with other coaches and coordinators as needed

Attend Job Coach Trainings and committee meetings

Ensure all safety procedures are followed at each job sit

Visit job and/or internship site(s) and meet with individuals with disabilities on-site, as scheduled, including evenings and weekends

Qualifications:
-
Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred

Compassionate, patient, and dependable

Ability to follow support plans and communicate clearly with team members

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries

Must have conflict resolution and organizational skills

Must be at least 18 years old

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred

Must be willing and able to travel to various job sites

Ability to pass background checks and required screenings

Must remain in compliance with all regulatory standards governing program services, including appropriate trainings

Must have or obtain First Aid/CPR/AED training certification

Must be able to read, write, and understand English

Must be able to lift at least 50lbs on a regular basis

Must have the ability to be flexible with schedule, if needed
