Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and dignity.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Support patient transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts and adhere to safe manual handling practices to prevent injury.
- Maintain patient confidentiality by following HIPAA guidelines and ensuring all medical documentation is precise and up-to-date within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Provide emotional support and effective communication to patients with diverse needs, including those with dementia or developmental disabilities.
- Assist with medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper procedures are followed in accordance with medical protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans in fast-paced environments such as ICU, emergency medicine, or post-acute settings.
Requirements
- Valid CNA certification with current state licensure.
- Experience working with geriatric patients or in long-term care facilities is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems like Point Click Care for accurate documentation.
- Familiarity with specialized care such as Alzheimer’s/dementia care, memory care, hospice, or behavioral health is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and utilize proper techniques during patient transfers or manual handling tasks.
- Strong understanding of vital signs measurement, anatomy knowledge, and basic life support (BLS) certification.
- Excellent caregiver communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient service.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
