Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Process Engineer to join our team. The Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and managing manufacturing processes. This role requires an analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to solve complex problems in production and operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with various departments to improve product quality, reduce waste, and increase overall efficiency in our polymer compounding extrusion environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Design & Optimization:
- Develop and implement process designs for new and existing manufacturing operations.
- Optimize production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Conduct feasibility studies to determine process modifications or improvements.
- Monitor and analyze process performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Process Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
- Monitor and analyze key process parameters, identifying deviations from desired outcomes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues to minimize downtime and production delays.
- Provide technical support and training to operators on process control, procedures, and troubleshooting.
- Quality Control & Compliance:
- Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with quality standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Perform root cause analysis of process failures and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and reports.
- Cost Reduction & Efficiency Improvement:
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to improve process performance and reduce waste.
- Analyze material, labor, and energy consumption to propose and implement cost-saving measures.
- Assist in the design and implementation of automation and other advanced technologies to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (production, maintenance, R&D, quality control, etc.) to develop solutions to process challenges.
- Prepare and present reports on process performance, improvement initiatives, and cost-saving measures to management.
- Participate in regular project meetings and provide updates on ongoing initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Preferably a bachelor’s degree in a related fielding, with 2 years of experience.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in process engineering or a related field. Experience in [specific industry, e.g., manufacturing, chemical, food production, etc.] is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in process simulation and analysis software (e.g., Aspen Plus, MATLAB, AutoCAD).
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and present findings.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Working Conditions:

Pay: $50,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
