Responsibilities
- Assist customers with product selections, providing detailed product demos and explaining features to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate cash registers and handle retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems
- Stock shelves with new merchandise, ensuring products are well-organized and visually appealing according to merchandising standards
- Upsell complementary products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining excellent customer service
- Manage cash handling duties including cash drawer balancing, retail math calculations, and processing returns or exchanges
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries via phone and in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Support store operations by supervising stock levels, assisting with inventory counts, and maintaining store cleanliness and safety standards
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in electronics or grocery store environments, is highly desirable
- Supervising experience in a retail setting is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and team collaboration
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math calculations is essential
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving a diverse customer base effectively
- Strong communication skills paired with excellent phone etiquette to engage customers confidently
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and upselling strategies to drive sales success
- Experience with grocery store operations or electronics product demos will be considered valuable assets
