Are you a recent graduate with a degree in the natural sciences who is looking for an exciting, hands-on role in the medical field? Launch your career as a Neurotechnologist, where you’ll work alongside surgeons in the operating room, using advanced neurophysiological monitoring to help protect patients’ nervous systems during surgery. No prior experience in neuromonitoring? No problem—we provide paid, on the job training!
What You’ll Do:
- Working under the supervision of an attending physician neurophysiologist, provide real-time neurophysiological monitoring during surgeries using multiple modalities of sensory and motor evoked potentials, EMG, and EEG.
- Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurse anesthetists in the OR.
- Gain hands-on experience in neuroanatomy, electrophysiology, and patient care.
- Work primarily daylight hours, though hours will vary based on need. Weekend and evening call will be necessary on a rotating basis.
- Travel between hospitals/surgical centers in the greater Pittsburgh area.
- Employees must pass the Certification in Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) exam within 18 months of the first day of employment.

Who We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Neuroscience, or a related field.
- Strong interest in neuroscience, physiology, and/or surgical procedures.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
- Proactive and motivated learner who is eager to gain new knowledge and technical skills.
- Clinical experience preferred, but not required.
- Customer service experience preferred, but not required.
- Willingness to work an irregular, full-time schedule.
- Willingness to stay for at least the duration of the contract period, which begins after the 90-day probationary period and continues for two years following CNIM certification.
License/Certification:
