Overview
We are seeking a C++ Simulation Engineer to support the development of advanced modeling, simulation, and analysis solutions for defense-related programs. This role is ideal for a software engineer with experience developing simulation environments involving aircraft, weapons systems, sensors, or other complex military platforms.
You'll work alongside engineers, analysts, and mission experts to design, develop, and maintain high-performance simulation capabilities that support testing, training, and mission planning efforts.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using C++
- Build simulation and modeling solutions supporting defense and aerospace programs
- Develop software throughout the full development lifecycle, from concept through deployment
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and technical teams to solve complex problems
- Support system integration, testing, and validation efforts
- Enhance existing simulation environments and contribute to new capability development
- Participate in Agile software development activities and code reviews
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience developing software applications
- 2+ years of professional C++ development experience
- Experience with simulation and modeling systems
- Experience supporting military or aerospace platforms such as:
- Aircraft
- Weapons Systems
- Radar Systems
- Sensors
- Command & Control Systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience working within collaborative engineering environments
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AFSIM (Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling)
- Knowledge of radar systems, radar waveforms, and radar range equations
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
- Experience supporting DoD, Air Force, Space Force, or defense contractor programs
Pay: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
