Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Two Year Old Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for two-year-old children
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, early intervention strategies, and Montessori principles where applicable
- Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with families to support each child's developmental milestones and address individual needs, including special education considerations
- Oversee lesson planning that integrates child development instruction, physical education, and foundational math concepts
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare regulations at all times
- Maintain accurate documentation of children's progress, assessments, and classroom activities to support ongoing learning and development
Skills
- Extensive experience working with children in early childhood settings, including daycare or preschool environments
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, classroom management techniques, and preschool teaching methods
- Proficiency in curriculum development focused on toddler care, literacy education, and early intervention programs
- Skilled in behavior management strategies tailored for two-year-olds to foster positive social interactions
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate standardized testing where appropriate to assess developmental progress
- Experience with Montessori or other specialized educational approaches is a plus
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations
