Medical Graduate Clinical Assistant—Physician-Supervised
Compensation: $5,000–$7,000 per month

About the Position:
NeuroDiagnostics Medical, P.C. is seeking a motivated medical graduate to join our outpatient Neurology and Physical Medicine practice as a physician-supervised Clinical Assistant.
The practice serves patients throughout Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island, and Long Island. This is a full-time, multi-site position requiring travel among the practice’s office locations. Individual office locations are generally scheduled approximately one to two days per month, with an overall schedule of approximately 20–22 clinic days per month.
This position is designed for an MD, DO, MBBS, or international medical graduate seeking structured U.S. clinical experience before residency. It is not a residency position and does not authorize independent medical practice. The employee will work under physician supervision. Supervising physicians retain responsibility for the final examination, diagnosis, interpretation of diagnostic studies, and treatment plan. This position is ideal for an applicant with 1 or 2-year clinical gap before U.S. Residency/NRMP Match.
Responsibilities:

Support approximately 18–24 physician-led outpatient encounters per day.

Obtain and document patient histories, medication lists, allergies, and relevant clinical information.

Assist with physician-directed, non-invasive examination components.

Complete accurate same-day documentation in the electronic medical record for physician review and signature.

Prepare draft FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, disability, and other patient forms or letters for physician review and signature.

Organize imaging reports, laboratory results, and other diagnostic information for physician review and patient discussion.

Assist with physician-directed referrals, follow-up scheduling, and patient care coordination.

Follow physician instructions and promptly bring patient concerns or abnormal findings to the supervising physician.

Communicate professionally with patients, referring providers, and practice staff.

Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with all practice policies.
Required Qualifications:

MD, DO, MBBS, or equivalent international medical degree.

Fluency in English.

Strong written communication and documentation skills.

Ability to take accurate medical histories and complete documentation efficiently.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume outpatient environment.

Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.

Reliable ability to travel among assigned locations.

Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with clinical documentation, medical scribing, patient histories, or medical paperwork.

Fluency in Spanish.

Completed USMLE Step examinations.

ECFMG certification, particularly for international medical graduates pursuing U.S. residency.

Experience in Neurology, Physical Medicine, Orthopedics, rehabilitation.
Schedule and Locations:

Full-time, approximately four to five days per week.

Typical hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Approximately 20–22 clinic days per month.

Outpatient practice only.

Travel among office locations in Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island, and Long Island is required.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Gross compensation of $5,000–$7,000 per month, based on qualifications and experience.
