Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Dry Cleaner Store Counter Person to assist customers with garment drop-off and pickup services. The ideal candidate is organized, friendly, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Receive clothing and household items for dry cleaning or laundering
- Tag, sort, and track garments accurately
- Operate the cash register and process payments
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries
- Inspect garments for stains, damages, or special cleaning instructions
- Prepare completed orders for pickup
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front counter and lobby area
- Coordinate with cleaning and pressing staff regarding customer orders
- Handle customer concerns professionally and courteously
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
- Basic math and cash-handling skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed
Preferred Skills
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Multilingual abilities are a plus
- Knowledge of garment care and fabrics preferred but not required
Work Environment

- Fast-paced environment with frequent customer interaction
- May involve light lifting and handling of clothing bags

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
