Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Parts Specialist to work embedded directly inside our collision center. Skipping the retail counter entirely, you will serve as the exclusive procurement engine for our body shop team. You will work side-by-side with estimators to source parts, maximize gross profit margins, and keep vehicle cycle times to an absolute minimum. If you know how to navigate insurance estimates and thrive in a fast-paced production environment, this specialized role is for you. Experience with PartsTrader and CollisionLink software will be required.
Responsibilities
- Procurement & Platform Management: Utilize CollisionLink and PartsTrader to quote, source, and order OEM and alternative parts directly from insurance estimates.
- Workflow Support: Partner with estimators to rapidly process supplement orders and leverage manufacturer conquest programs to optimize department margins.
- Logistics & Accuracy: Receive, inspect, and "mirror-match" incoming collision parts against damaged vehicles to ensure absolute accuracy before they hit the technician's stall.
Experience
- Previous experience in automotive parts retail sales, body shop, or dealership environments is required
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and automotive repair techniques
- Familiarity with Dealership Management System software CDK is preferred
- Excellent communication skills with a professional etiquette and customer service focus are required
- Experience with CCC One for working off of insurance estimates and Microsoft Excel for inventory tracking and reporting is advantageous
Qualifications
- Proven parts counter experience required, any experience specifically dedicated to a body shop or collision center environment is preferred
- Proficiency with parts requests / filling orders through CollisionLink & PartsTrader, and interpreting insurance estimates (CCC ONE)
- Exceptional organizational skills to track high-volume repair orders, backorders, and returns without dropping the ball.
