Position Overview
We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Full-Time Pre-K Classroom Aide to support our mixed-age preschool program. Working alongside the Lead Teacher, you will help create a warm, engaging, and safe learning environment where children ages 3 and 4 can thrive.
This position offers a clear pathway and room to grow into a Lead Teacher position as you gain experience and credentials within our expanding program.
Key Responsibilities & Daily Tasks
Classroom & Instructional Support:
- Assist the Lead Teacher with daily learning activities, art projects, circle time, and sensory stations.
- Support small group and one-on-one activities to help reinforce early literacy, math, and motor skills.
- Help prepare classroom materials, organize learning centers, and set up daily activities.
- Facilitate smooth transitions between classroom lessons, gross-motor play, and rest time.
Care & Supervision:
- Maintain active visual and auditory supervision of children at all times indoors and on the playground.
- Assist children with personal care routines, including handwashing, bathroom reminders, and potty-training support.
- Help serve snacks and meals, assist children during eating times, and manage mealtime cleanup.
- Assist with naptime setup, supervising rest time, and packing up cots/mats.
Safety, Cleanliness & Teamwork:
- Maintain classroom cleanliness by sanitizing toys, wiping down tables, and disinfecting high-touch areas daily.
- Foster a positive, nurturing classroom culture using gentle guidance and positive reinforcement.
- Attend occasional staff meetings and participate in required professional development workshops.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Required); coursework or CDA/Early Childhood credits (Preferred).
- Certifications: Current CPR & Pediatric First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Experience: Prior experience working with young children (ages 3–5) in a licensed childcare, preschool, or structured setting.
- A warm, patient, and engaging personality with strong communication skills.
- Ability to pass all state-required criminal background checks, fingerprinting, and health clearances.
- Physical ability to bend, sit on the floor, lift up to 35–40 lbs, and actively supervise outdoor play.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
